The inaugural Celebration of Seagrove Potters (COSP) will take place this year Nov. 21-23.
The COSP will feature more than 60 of Seagrove's finest artists exhibiting at the historic Luck's Beans Plant on N.C. 705, known as Pottery Highway, just south of the traffic light in downtown Seagrove.
"Volunteers serve as the backbone of a festival, and we would like to be able to provide COSP attendees with the opportunity to browse and shop the thousands of original pieces of art created by artists from the authentic Seagrove area," says a spokesman. "The COSP is dedicated to creating a unique and creative environment for all who attend. All of this would not be possible without the immense dedication of our volunteers."
COSP volunteers will have the opportunity to work on many different aspects of the festival, including the auction, artist relations, gala preview event, production, special projects and more. Volunteer opportunities are available all three days, comprising four-hour shifts. Benefits of being a volunteer include an original Celebration of Seagrove Potters Festival T-shirt, special gift and more.
"If you would like to join our team of volunteers for the 2008 Inaugural Celebration of Seagrove Potters, go to our Web site at www.Celebration OfSeagrovePotters.com to learn more about the event or contact Bonnie Burns at redhare@ rtmc.net, to learn more about the duties of each volunteer committee," says the spokesman. "We look forward to seeing you at this year's celebration."
