Jackson Springs Man Charged in Stabbing

A stabbing in the Jackson Springs community Aug. 1 resulted in the arrest of Ronald Lee Dockery, 30, of Jackson Springs.

On Aug. 1, Moore County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a stabbing on Flowers Road in Jackson Springs. Timothy Earl White of Jackson Springs told the deputies he had been stabbed, according to a press release.

Dockery was arrested Aug. 4 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. His bail was set at $5,000.

Cameron Men Arrested

Three Cameron men have been arrested in a series of crimes, according to a press release from the Moore County Sheriff's office.

Arrested were David Yarborough, 33, Jason Smith, 26, and William Yarborough, all of 177 Oak Run Drive, Cameron. The arrests came after a June 21 report of a larceny by a resident of the Cameron area, a July 12 report of a breaking and entering in the Vass area and a report of fraud on Aug. 1 that occurred at Aberdeen Recycling.

David Yarborough was charged twice. On July 30, he was charged with breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. Yarborough bail was set at $7,500.

On Aug. 1, he was charged with felony larceny, possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense. Again, his bail was set at $7,500.

Smith was charged July 31 with breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, two counts of possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense. His bail was set at $25,000.

William Yarborough was charged July 31 with breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. His bail was set at $15,000.

Financial Card Fraud

Investigators with the Moore County Sheriff's Office arrested a Carthage man on Aug. 4 on two charges.

Jimmy Dale Patterson, 44, of 1203 Old River Road in Carthage was charged with identity theft and financial card forgery. His bail was set at $5,000.

The charges stemmed from a May 6 report of financial card fraud from a resident of the Carthage area.

Larceny

Christopher M. Fore, 24, of Camp Easter Road was arrested Aug. 4 by Moore County sheriff deputies and charged with felony larceny, possession of stolen property, and obtaining property by false pretense.

The arrest came after a Carthage resident reported to the Sheriff's Office on July 28 that Fore had removed items from his property without permission.

Statutory Rape

The Moore County Sheriff's Office received a report of a statutory rape on Aug. 2. A 15-year-old female juvenile reported that she was sexually assaulted.

On Aug. 4, Terry Lee Streater, 35, of Eagle Springs was arrested and charged with statutory rape and indecent liberties with a child. He was jailed, with his bail set at $25,000.
