Joseph Robbin Mallard, 20, of Southern Pines, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

Mr. Mallard was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and graduated from Tuempelgarten School, in Germany. His family owns and operates Pinebluff Auto Glass, where he worked. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and rode with the Moore Chrome Eagles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Mallard.

Service: 7 p.m. today (Friday Aug. 1), Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines.

Survivors: his mother, Monika Schmidt Mallard, of Germany; his father and stepmother, Steven W. and Lorraine Mallard, of Aberdeen; a sister, Bonnie Mallard, of Germany; a stepsister, Jordan Riffe, of the home; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Inge Schmidt, of Germany; and paternal grandmother, Cecile Mallard, of Pinebluff.
