The Rev. Sal DiBianca, of Teen Challenge of the Sandhills, led the "'Comeunity' Good Friday Worship Celebration" service held during the evening of March 21, at the Pinecrest High School football stadium.

"Nearly 2,000 people attended the event sponsored by 20 Moore County churches," says David Pratt, an associate pastor at Grace Church in Southern Pines.

The program featured Christian-contemporary worship music led by Kevin Baker, music minister at Grace Church, and a sermon by the Rev. Gregg Newton, of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Camp Easter Road, Carthage.

Jeff Miller, of Sandhills Assembly of God in Southern Pines, then sang "Watch the Lamb" as a video depicting Christ's crucifixion played on two large screens.

Newton and DiBianca gave an "invitation to receive Christ" after Miller's solo. A one-hour concert followed the service.
