Sandhills Best Bets: Explorations Gardening Forum 'Dishes Dirt'
Get the "dirt" on gardening in the Sandhills from Moore County Master Gardener Dolores Muller at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, Southern Pines Public Library.
As part of the "Explorations: A Forum for Adults" series, Muller will present "Tough Plants for Tough Times," about how to test soil, prepare planting sites, and select plants that need little to no water to survive and thrive.
In addition to the program, there will be a spring plant exchange. Anyone bringing a plant to share is asked to label it with planting instructions.

The Moore County Senior Enrichment Center will hold a presentation hosted by Bob Dantzer from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16. Dantzler will give a personal perspective of the Elderhostel experience and a review of programs planned for spring and summer.
Founded in 1975, Elderhostel is the nation's first, and the world's largest, educational travel organization primarily for adults 55 and over.
These programs offer in-depth and behind-the-scenes learning experiences for almost every interest and ability.
