Dr. Christine P. Gatti has announced the addition of her new associate, Dr. Nanci L. Harp, in the formation of Dogwood Dental Associates.

Gatti has been a practicing dentist for several years in the Sandhills area but has been involved in some aspect of the dental profession for more than 30 years, ranging from dental hygiene to dental practice consulting.

She is a 1971 graduate of the New York City Technical College in dental hygiene and a 1994 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J. Upon completion of her dental degree, she entered a two-year graduate professional residency program with Staten Island University Hospital, where she served as chief resident.

She and her husband, Rudy, and two daughters, Regina and Josie, moved to the Sandhills in 1996. Active in the community, Gatti is a member of the Sandhills Dental Study Club, the Dental Implant Associates of North Carolina and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a graduate of the Atlanta Implant Continuum.

She is also a member of the American Dental Association as well as the North Carolina Dental Society.

Harp is a 2000 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She received her certificate of completion of the Dental Implant Continuum from the Triangle Dental Institute.

In 2006, she attended the L.D. Pankey Institute and completed its first continuum. Most recently, she worked with FirstHealth Dental Care Center, which limits its practice to children. She is a member of the Sandhills Dental Study Club, the American Den-tal Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.

She has practiced in several areas statewide but now calls the Sandhills home with her husband, Chris, and daughter, Hollister.

Drs. Gatti and Harp will provide a wide range of services at Dogwood Dental Associates -- dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, nonsurgical periodontal therapies, root canals, crown and bridge, and emergency care.
