Pinetree Community Services to Host Fine Wine Gala

Pinetree Community Services, Inc., announces a Fine Wine Gala at The Fresh Market in Southern Pines on Wednesday night, March 21, from 7 to 9 p.m.

"We are so grateful to The Fresh Market for the opportunity for this fundraiser to benefit individuals with developmental disabilities in our community," says Ron Hodiak, executive director of Pinetree Community Services. "We are proud of the service we have provided to our area for over 30 years, and salute The Fresh Market for their strong commitment to giving back to the communities they serve."

Representatives from area distributors and from the vineyards will be on hand at the gala to talk about the wines that will be poured. Elegant hors d'oeuvres and cheeses will accompany the tastings. In addition, The Fresh Market will feature prime rib, shrimp cocktail and other delectable offerings at the event. Tickets are available for purchase for $25 each.

Pinetree Community Services offers diverse programs, opportunities and services to people with developmental disabilities, enabling them to exert control in their lives and enjoy richer life experiences. Through educational, vocational and recreational opportunities, individuals become more fulfilled and more productive contributors to the community.

The PCS Employment Services Division offers businesses an abundant source of capable individuals eager to work in a number of positions in the community, and enjoys partnerships with FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Gulistan Carpets and Rempac, among others.

Working in partnership with area agencies and organizations, consumers benefit from a collaborative and person-centered approach to serving individuals and families with developmental disabilities or mental health issues.

Numerous services are available to address the specific needs of individuals who benefit from one-on-one or small group activities. Staff are trained and dedicated to providing the highest quality services to enable those who are served to reach their highest potential and contribute to the community in a positive and productive way.
