This March marks the two-year anniversary of Dr. Edward C. Monroe's dental practice in Southern Pines.

"I'm thrilled with the loyal patient base that has grown over the past two years and the devoted employees that have helped make that possible," Monroe said. "All we can hope for is the same continued success in the future."

As a Moore County native, Monroe said he is committed to the residents of this community and is excited to continue to contribute positively to its future.

Monroe said he has been fortunate to be able to employ such kind and dedicated employees. He said they have been instrumental in relaying the values of the practice to his patients and supporting that vision with solid efforts daily.

"You are only as good as the team you work with," Monroe said when contemplating his staff and the environment in which he works.

The practice has made a solid commitment to cosmetics and preventive services, he said. This year, a new room of hygiene equipment will be installed to better serve patients and improve efforts to prevent dental disease.

Monroe expressed enthusiasm about the utilization of a new "deep bleaching" technique for tooth whitening.

"This is a really exciting time in cosmetic services," Monroe said. "We are able to really change smiles for the better with very conservative treatments."

Monroe's practice is on Midland Road in Southern Pines.
