'High School Musical' Auditions Set

Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville announces auditions on Monday, Feb. 5, and Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. for Disney's "High School Musical."
Interested persons need to attend auditions on only one of the two nights.
Everyone is welcome to audition; prior experience with Cape Fear Regional Theatre is not necessary.
Audition requirements:
-- All auditionees must look like high school students, approximately 1418 years old.
-- Auditionees will be asked to sing 16 bars from "We're All In This Together" (a song from Disney's "High School Musical") or -- similar up-tempo 16 bar selection. Sheet music and an accompanist will be provided.
-- Auditionees will be taught a jazz dance routine and asked to perform in groups, so should bring proper clothing and shoes.
-- Callbacks will be on Monday, Feb. 19.
-- Rehearsals will likely start in early May.
-- The play is currently scheduled to open on Friday, June 8, and will run for either three or four full weeks.
-- Auditionees will be required to fill out an audition card upon arrival where they will list their previous theatre experience, conflicts during the rehearsal and performance periods and current contact information.
-- Headshots and resumes are accepted but not required.
