J. Richard Loving, 68, of Cameron, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Cameron Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Cranes Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cameron Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and at other times at the residence.

A native of Richmond County, Mr. Loving was a son of the late Frank and Jessie Thomas Loving. He moved to Moore County at the age of 12 and spent the rest of his life in Cameron. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and worked as a railroad conductor for CSX, retiring in 2001.

Mr. Loving is survived by his wife, Carol Marsh Loving; his daughter, Debbie Beard and her husband, Jerry, of Southern Pines; his sons, Jimmy Loving and his wife, Nora, and Joel Loving and his wife, Patricia, all of Cameron; his sister, Mary Lou Yow and her husband, Tony, of Sanford; his brothers, Tommy Loving and his wife, Judy, of Sanford, and Eddie Loving and his wife, Barbara, of Cameron; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
