Digging Us In Deeper

The situation in Iraq continues to be a disaster, and Bush is now trying to dig us in deeper. It appears that his current strategy is to run out the clock and leave this mess to his replacement.

The president has a very narrow perspective and is incapable of flexible thinking. He has ignored the Iraq Study Group; he has rejected the unanimous advice of the Joint Chiefs; he now says anybody that does not support his "new" plan is irresponsible. He is fixated on himself.

What is especially worrisome is that his behavior is predictable (the current surge, for example), and he is now making threats to Syria and Iran.

Bush is dangerous. He has seriously harmed our nation. He needs to be stopped before he makes matters worse in Iraq and before he takes us to another war. We need to get off this doomsday scenario that if people don't support Bush, it's going to be the end of the world.

This is not a political issue. We are talking about the welfare of our nation. The invasion of Iraq is one of the biggest blunders in the history of our nation.

I urge calling Sens. Burr (336-631-5125) and Dole (919-856-4630) and Rep. Coble (336-333-5005) to ask their help to bring Bush under control before he does further damage.
