Eleanor Edith Fox Hugg, 84, of Pinehurst, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at her home in Pinehurst.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst with Father James Labosky as celebrant.

Mrs. Hugg was born Nov. 11, 1919, in New York City, N.Y., to the late Louis and Sarah Ross Fox. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hugg is survived by her husband, Kenneth M. Hugg of Pinehurst; one son, David R. Hugg of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Janet Landis of Tampa, Fla., and Carolyn James and her husband, Manny, of West End; one brother, Louis W. Fox and his wife, Delia, of Plymouth, Mass.; a sister, Dorthy Ruffner and her husband, Donald, of Seaford, N.Y.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to FirstHealth Hospice, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374 or to the charity of one's choice.
