Lucille Lamb Holder, 67, of Southern Pines, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview with Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Holder was born Nov. 17, 1939, in Brunswick County to the late Carl Edgar Lamb and Callie Brown Lamb. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aberdeen. She enjoyed quilt making.
A family member stated, " She loved her family, and she was a loving mother."
Mrs. Holder is survived by her husband of 51 years, Marvin Holder of Southern Pines; two sons, Wesley Holder and David Holder, both of Aberdeen; one daughter, Lisa Holder Solomon of Southern Pines; four sisters, Carol Jean Stevens of Telford, Pa., Brenda Lois Conrad of Sanford, Betty Grimsley of Fairmont, and Mary Hill of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, is serving the family.
