Geneva Reynolds Auman, 86, of Seagrove, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at her home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.. Friday (today), Jan. 5, at Seagrove United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Bill Foust officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church cemetery, where she was a former member, near Robbins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Kennedy Funeral Home in Robbins and at other times at the home.
Mrs. Auman was a native of Moore County. She had worked at the family business, Reynolds Mills, and at Belk's in Robbins. She was a former member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, where she had served as church treasurer and as president of U.M.W. at Seagrove United Methodist Church.
"She was a homemaker and known for her charitable heart and service to others," said a family member.
Mrs. Auman was preceded in death by her husband, A.R. Auman Jr., and her parents Rufus Bryant Reynolds and Martha Ritter Reynolds.
Mrs. Auman is survived by her stepdaughters, Sandra Curtis of Seagrove, and Dianne Blake of Trinity; her nephews, Kenneth Dowd of Charlotte, Tom Reynolds of Jamestown and David Auman of Benson; her nieces, Cathy Baiden of Asheboro, Karen Sandlin of Hilton Head, S.C., Nelda Reynolds Cockman of West End, Marie Dowd Spears of Mt. Holly, Reca Reynolds Davis of Cary, Martha Kluttz Hyler of Midland and Beth Reynolds Whited of Mebane.
