Darius Lee McLaughlin Sr., 54, of Eastwood Community, Pinehurst, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, in a car accident on Lea Road in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter United Church of God, Eastwood Community, Pinehurst. Burial will follow at the Eastwood Community Cemetery, Pinehurst. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. McLaughlin was a graduate of Pinecrest High School and was employed at Forest Creek Golf Resort.

He is survived by a daughter, LaToya Allbrooks and her husband, Jermaad; two sons, Darius McLaughlin Jr. and Marcus A. McLaughlin; his father, Lewis McLaughlin; two sisters, Rochelle Nichols and Penillia Neal; three brothers, Mandrill "Rufus" McLaughlin, Lewis McLaughlin Jr., and Larry Johnson; three grandchildren; and other relatives.
