Two Earn Eagle Scout Awards

Andrew Michael Garrison and Stephen Timothy Farrell, members of Boy Scout Troop No. 800, recently received Eagle Scout awards during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. The Court of Honor was led by Irvin Williams.
The awards were presented by Scoutmaster William McKinnon.
For his Eagle project, Garrison planned and organized the construction of a privacy fence at Bethesda Cemetery. He is a senior at Pinecrest High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, the debate team and is co-captain of the cross country and track teams. He is the son of Mike and Karen Garrison of Aberdeen. Andrew is the grandson of Troy and Pat Hodges of High Point and Evelyn Garrison of Pinehurst and the late James Garrison.
Farrell is a sophomore at Union Pines High School. He is a member of the Quiz Bowl team and the junior varsity basketball team. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouting's national honor society.
For his Eagle project, Farrell planned and organized landscaping and the installation of a split rail fence at Aberdeen's Sharpe Park. He is the son of Robbie and Laura Farrell of Aberdeen. Stephen is the grandson of Harold and Peggy McFayden of Ellerbe and the late Bob and Janette Farrell, formerly of Aberdeen.
