Like George McNeill, I too am tired of hearing how cruel the death penalty is! (Letter, Jan. 28). Murderers should die, too -- just as their victims did!

My teenage son, his best friend and two of their acquaintances were murdered three years ago -- beaten, stabbed, shot and burned. It was evil, vicious and cruel!

Why should those killing monsters live while our sons lie six feet under? Why should our tax money feed, clothe, educate, pay their medical expenses and keep their rotten tails comfortable while we mourn our children and die a little more each day?

I believe if the death penalty was a sure thing, with execution immediately after the sentence was handed down, the murder rate would drop dramatically and the prisons would have more room for other types of criminals.

You know, if a person really does experience pain as he's being put to death (so what?), then maybe he's just feeling the fires of hell lapping at his feet. Think about it.
