A memorable stage play, featuring Ted Lange in "Behind the Mask: An Evening With Paul Laurence Dunbar," comes to the Crown Theatre in Fayetteville on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m., the Crown Center announced.

"Behind the Mask" is a tribute to Paul Laurence Dunbar, America's foremost poet and black writer, who chronicled the "Black Experience" to a large, multiracial audience at the turn of the 20th century.

A contemporary of Mark Twain, Dunbar was also a legendary literary icon who used humor as well as rhyme to tell his stories of life. Ted Lange, veteran actor, director and playwright masterfully brings to life Dunbar using the same theatrical experience of sharing an evening with a man of wit, passion and laughter through his stories and poems -- an enchanting night with a national treasure, Paul Laurence Dunbar.

Tickets are $20, $25, $28, $30. Student tickets start at $15 with valid ID. Tickets are available at the Crown Center box office, online at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone at 910-223-2900.
