The Arts Council of Moore County and the Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Dept. will present the final "Arts in the Park" event at Camelot Playground in Cannon Park, Pinehurst, Saturday, Sept. 23.

This performance will feature the Grey Seal Puppets performing "Tangle of Tales" at 11 a.m. The performance is free and open to the public.

In case of rain, the performance will be in Assembly Hall of the Village Hall (395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst). Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on during the performance.

"Tangle of Tales" is an imaginative compilation of three familiar tales of childhood "The Frog Prince," "Three Billy Goats Gruff," and "The Three Little Pigs." Each story is told in a different style using a variety of puppets including hand and rod control.

In the show, the Grey Seal Puppets offer a whole menagerie of zany characters: a skinny ant that dances a lively jig; "block heads" that learn how to get around; and the zaniest creatures of all, the "Wobblies," that open the show with a dance choreographed to Kablevsky's "The Comedian's Suite."

In addition to the performance, free face painting will be provided from 10 to 10:45 a.m., and refreshments will be for sale.
