On Thursday, Sept. 14, the Pinehurst Police Department will hold a fundraiser for Special Olympics at The Fair Barn.

Beginning at 6 p.m., The Blue Grass Band will play until 8 p.m. There will be a barbecue dinner for all.

The Pinehurst Police are very active in providing officers to assist the participants at all Olympic Games, along with carrying the torch across Moore County.

"Don't miss this opportunity to help Moore County's Special Olympics while enjoying great music and good food," says a spokesman.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.
