I have been a volunteer in the guardian ad litem program for the past nine years. A guardian ad litem is a voice in court for a neglected or an abused child.

Often, I listen to the argument of the family's attorney, whose only concern is the law. I want to shout out and say, "You're speaking about a child in need."

Thank goodness the child has a judge such as Scott Etheridge, whose main concern is what is best for the poor child in need. Every guardian is pleased when a case is before him. Please, as you cast your vote, think about the needs of these neglected and abused children and cast your vote for Scott Etheridge.
