On Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., Burchfield's Golf Gallery will be featuring local authors Audrey Moriarty, author of "Pinehurst: Golf, History, and The Good Life," and her husband, Jim Moriarty, author of "Open Season," for a book signing.

A wine and cheese reception will be held.

Audrey Moriarty is the executive director of the Given Memorial Library and the Tufts Archives. A graduate of Purdue University, she majored in English secondary education. She has a master's degree in library information science and was a school media coordinator for the Moore County Schools for nearly 10 years.

Jim Moriarty has been covering golf since 1974. During his 30-year career as a writer and photographer, he has contributed stories or photographs to most of the major golf publications including Golf Digest, GolfWorld, GOLF, and Sports Illustrated.

The gallery is located in the Village of Pinehurst.
