Spaghetti Supper

Set for Tonight

Pinecrest High School Marching Band announces its annual Spaghetti Supper fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the cafeteria, just prior to the homecoming football game.

The menu includes spaghetti, salad, rolls and beverage. Desserts will also be available.

Dinners can be enjoyed in the school cafeteria or boxed for carry-out.

Tickets may be purchased from any band member, booster club members or at the door for only $5.

The supper is being sponsored by Dr. Samuel Storch, and all proceeds will benefit the Pinecrest High School Band Programs.

Tag Sale

The Something Moore tag sale is Oct. 20-22 at 1930 Poplar Street in the old Winn-Dixie shopping center.

A festive preview party kicks off the event on Friday, Oct. 20, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (admission, $30 per person).

The Something Moore Public Sale takes place on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A clearance sale will be held on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a clearance auction from 3 to 4 p.m.

The public sale, clearance sale, and auction are free and open to the public.

Something Moore is a fundraiser for the benefit of the many programs and services the Arts Council of Moore County presents throughout the community.

Elsiepalooza

The 3rd Annual Elsiepalooza, a concert that benefits the Sandhills Coalition, the Arc of Moore County and the Food Bank, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at the home of Robbie and Liz McKenzie, 1024 Summerhill Church Road.

Featured groups include The Java Mules (11-11:45 a.m.); The Randy Hughes Band (noon-12:45 p.m.); Stone Hollow Band (1-1:45 p.m.); The Cowboy Band (2-2:45 p.m.); The Hotrod (3-3:45 p.m.); The McKenzie Brothers (4-4:45 p.m.), and Joyner, Young & Marie (5-5:45 p.m.).

Food will be available.

Bazaar

Our Saviour Lutheran Church, will hold it 16th annual bazaar and yard sale Friday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is held in the church fellowship hall at 1517 Luther Way, Southern Pines.

All proceeds will be donated to the Sandhills Interfaith Hospitality Network, Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care, Inc., and Our Saviour's Discretionary Fund.

Dining in the Pines

The second annual Dining In the Pines Fundraiser is Wednesday, Oct. 25, and will benefit Moore Free Care Clinic.

All hosts and their guests meet after dinner at The Country Club of North Carolina for dessert, bar, auction and raffle.

Guests make contributions to the clinic at the $35, $50 or $75 level with no limit on the donation accepted.

Banquet

Allen Levi, popular singer and storyteller, will entertain at the annual Young Life fundraising banquet, Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Pinehurst Fair Barn.

Young Life is an interdenominational ministry to middle and high school students. WyldLife is the middle school arm of Young Life.
