Lonnie Drake Bounds Jr., 54, of Raeford, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, at the Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs.

Mr. Bounds was born May 31, 1952, in Robeson County to Reba Evelyn Fauscett and the late Lonnie Drake Bounds Sr. He was a member of Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church, Raeford Hunting Club and the Hoke County Bass Master's Association.

Mr. Bounds was a supervisor for Burlington Industries for 29 years, for Intek in Aberdeen, West-Point Stevens in Laurinburg and Gulistan Carpet in Aberdeen.

Mr. Bounds is survived by his wife, Mary McKenzie Bounds; his two sons, Kyle Bounds and Jeffrey Bounds, both of Raeford; his mother, Reba F. Bounds of Raeford; his brother, Joel Bounds and his wife, Rachel, of Marion; his sister, Cathy B. Jones and her husband, Charlie, of Parkton; his mother and father-in-law, Jane and Joe McKenzie of Red Springs; a brother-in-law, Joe McKenzie Jr. of Red Sprigs; two sisters-in-law, Janet Summers and her husband, Mike, of Raeford, and Shelia Batchelor and her husband, Richard, of Atlanta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
