This week, Pinehurst Resorts will be featured in two primetime television programs.

ESPN2 will air the finale of the third BASF People vs. the Pros at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event was contested on Pinehurst No. 8, pitting one amateur in the under-50 category against U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen and one over-50 amateur golfer against personality Gary McCord.

This is the second time the event was taped at Pinehurst.

At 8 p.m. Friday on ABC, Extreme Makeover will air an episode that was taped, in part, at the resort.

Kerra, the wife of a Ft. Bragg soldier who lives in Sanford, was bitten by a brown recluse spider as she unpacked her husband's bags a few short years ago.

Kerra made the trip to California to repair the damage that nearly killed her.

The final reveal to her family and friends was taped at the Carolina Hotel, the spa at the resort and throughout the property, at her request.
