Robert Eugene McClendon, 51, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday (today), at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville with the Rev. Tom Lee, of Raeford First Baptist Church, officiating.

Mr. McClendon was born Nov. 7, 1954, in Fayetteville to the late William Edward McClendon Sr. and Victoria Lambert McClendon. He was a carpenter working in the construction industry.

Mr. McClendon is survived by his brothers, William E. McClendon Jr. and Jere Lee McClendon, both of Raeford; and one sister, Susan McClendon Parsons of Fayetteville.

Boles Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is serving the family.
