Edith Briles Hoover, 75, of Bennett, formerly of Asheboro, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at Mariner Health Care in Asheboro.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Darrell Rabon and James Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett and at other times at the Albright residence, 286 Will Shields Road, Bennett.
Mrs. Hoover was a Randolph County native, the widow of Herman W. Hoover. She attended Brown's Chapel Christian Church in Spies in Moore County. She was a retired secretary at Randolph County Vocational Rehab Services.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by her daughter, June Hoover Albright, and her husband, Gary, of Bennett; her son, Darrell W. Hoover, and his wife, Loretta, of Asheboro; her sister, Lala Briles Pitts of Colfax; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
