It appears to me that our administration has already determined a PUD ordinance is necessary, is needed right away, and will be passed as soon as LandDesign and the town can agree on the wording -- and all before the whole picture is studied, citizen input is sought, and a master plan drawn up to shape the future of our town.

Schools: When to Open

As a concerned parent, I attended and spoke at the Moore County Board of Education meeting, Oct. 9. The school board voted to allow our high schools to apply for a waiver to the current Aug. 25 start date as mandated by our state legislature.

Give Guns to Teachers

We have been bombarded in the media with calls for even more stringent controls on handguns. The basis for these ban requests is the rash of schoolhouse shootings over the last few months.
