Former Pinecrest football star Torrey Lowe is up to his old tricks of gaining yards in a variety of ways for Greensboro College.
The sophomore wide receiver gained more than 200 all-purpose yards in his team's 36-30 overtime loss at Guilford College on Saturday afternoon.
Lowe ran 20 yards for the first Pride score and threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Tyrelle Lee for the second. He caught a couple of 34-yard passes in the second half as the Pride rallied from a 30-16 fourth quarter deficit to send the game into overtime.
A pre-season All-American pick by Football Gazette, he was last year's Conference USA South Rookie of the Year. Saturday's stat line included 12 rushes for 72 yards, one pass for 33 yards and eight catches for 108. He also returned a kickoff for 11 yards.
