Rockingham Dragway will host its final race of the season this Saturday with a weekly Street Drags program featuring a 1 p.m. start.
"With cooler temperatures in the evening, we felt like our fans and participants would be more comfortable with a daytime program," said track owner Steve Earwood.
As a result, gates will open at noon Saturday with unlimited time trials and grudge runs until dusk.
The track is located in Richmond County on U.S. 1 South from Moore County.
Entry fee is $20 for vehicle and driver whether the vehicle is a car, a truck, a motorcycle, a snowmobile or a golf cart.
Tickets for crew members and spectators are $10, and include free parking in Rockingham's main lot.
Other than private test sessions, this is the last race in a 90-event season at The Rock, including two IHRA events.
According to Earwood, the track will reopen on Saturdays in January with a Street Drags program.
