Corrina H. Tyson, 92, of Mt. Gilead, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Snow Hill A.M.E. Zion Church in Mt Gilead, with the Rev. David Wooley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Tyson was born July 17, 1914, and she was raised by her grandmother, Nellie Hine. Her occupation was farm work.

Mrs. Tyson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Tyson, and her two brothers.

Mrs. Tyson is survived by her sister, Bessie L. Bostick, of Rochester, N.Y.; and three stepdaughters.

McLendon Funeral Home, of Ellerbe, is handling the arrangements.
