Turning Point Worship Center at 16433 U.S. 15-501 held its worship service Sunday, Nov. 19, at 10:30 a.m. The topic was "Move to the Side; Let God Fight Your Battles." It was based on Isaiah 49:25-26.

Bible study at Macedonia has been canceled for this week due to the Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On the fourth Sunday in November at 3 p.m., Holy Communion and foot-washing service will be held at Macedonia.

"Support Our Troops" care packages will be mailed Saturday, Nov. 25. Donations of easy-open small canned goods (no ham, please), toiletries, and a notes/cards of encouragement can be dropped off at several sites including the homes of Mable Gaddy, Doris H. Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Lloyd.

This is an informal gathering of nonstop praying, reading scriptures, singing hymns and praise songs, and giving testimonies. You do not have to "dress up." A ceremony was held to ordain Deacon Freddie Kelly Jr. as a deacon at God's House of Prayer Ministry on Sunday, Nov. 19. He lives in Southern Pines with his wife, Sister Oglatha Kelly and their children.
Bible study will be held tonight at God's House of Prayer Ministry at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Mary Kelly will teach the adults and Sister Jacqueline Dunlap will teach the children.
Thanksgiving dinner will also be held at the church on Thursday.
