Aberdeen police are investigating an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery that occurred this past week at Aberdeen businesses.
At 7:18 p.m. Thursday, two black men wearing masks robbed the Dollar General Store on N.C. 5. One was carrying a hand gun. The suspects forced an employee to move from the rear of the store and open the cash register.
The robbers left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Just after noon Sunday, a white male attempted to rob Kirklands on U.S. 15-501 while armed with a hand gun. The clerk said that she could not open the register and had no money. The man left the store.
