The Playhouse announces an open audition call for children ages 4 to 15 for a production of "Snow White Goes West."

The workshop fee is $300 for the 12-week period. Multiple family discounts apply. Moore Playhouse is responsible for all costumes, sets and props. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee due at time of auditions with the remaining balance due Monday, Nov. 20.

Auditions will be held at Taylor Dance Studio, 308 Ampersand Rd., Aberdeen (behind the Food Lion and bowling alley) Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon (ages 4-8) and 1 to 3 p.m. (ages 9-15). Callbacks will be held Sunday, Nov. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. Rehearsals begin Monday, Nov. 20, at 3:30 p.m.

Children need no experience or prepared material to audition for any of these performance-based workshops. They will receive instruction in drama, dance, music, basic stage, set design and construction, costuming, and makeup through out each 12-week rehearsal process, which concludes with a Thursday-through-Sunday performance run open to the general public.

Workshop hours are Monday and Thursday from 3:30 to 6 p.m.; Monday rehearsals are Nov. 20, and Nov. 27. Thursday rehearsals begin Nov. 30.

Rehearsals are only on Thursdays during December. Additional Saturday rehearsals may begin in January and are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. Performance dates are in February.

No rehearsals are scheduled over Thanksgiving or Christ-mas breaks.

"Snow White Goes West" is the second production in the "Children Performing for Children" series.
