The Seven Lakes Lions Club sponsors this annual event for students ages 11, 12, and 13 in the West Pines Middle School. The theme for the 2006-2007 Peace Poster Contest is "Celebrate Peace." Through the contest, the students were encouraged to depict visually their interpretation of the contest's theme.

The prize winners this year were: Mae Duphorne, first prize; Dylan Hasson, and Emily Walker, runners-up. Their art teacher, Michelle Morris, was present to represent the students and the school.
