The 28th Annual Autumnfest is slated for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Park, Southern Pines. The annual festival features foot races (l mile, 5K), children's activities, handcrafted items, food, and stage entertainment.

Several classifications of booth spaces are available. Nonprofit groups may have a booth for $20; craft booths are available for $35; amusements are $50 and concessions are $60. Electricity (110-volt, 20 amp) is available at $15 (one outlet). Registration deadline is Sept. 29. Those registering after that date will be charged a late fee.

Autumnfest is sponsored by Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department and the Arts Council of Moore County, Aberdeen Coca-Cola, Sprint, Johnny O's Awards, and Sandhills Trophy and Sports of Troy.
