Thank You to Helpers

I was in a wreck Thursday, Dec. 22, on U.S. 1 -- the vehicle that hit a horse. Some very kind and compassionate people stopped to help me and my children. They didn't even know us but cared enough to stay and help my children until my husband was contacted and able to get there. I was not able to care for them.

I want to thank these folks and let them know how much it meant to me that they helped. My husband told me there were many people helping with the kids and calling 911, and even taking care of me until EMS arrived. I appreciate everything these folks did.

It makes me proud to live in an area where the people are still kind and caring with one another in a time of crisis.

I don't remember names, and the faces were blurred but the voices talking to me and the folks who stayed near me, helped me more than they may ever know. I was scared, confused, and on the verge of passing out, but their talking to me kept me awake and alert.

I thank them because I would not have wanted my children to see me unconscious. This would have scared them more than they were already.

I thank you, and I thank God for you all. You were angels to watch over us. We will always remember you in our prayers.
