After 20 years of nursing, Tracey Harbour has accepted the position of director of nursing at the Surgery Center of Pinehurst.

Harbour received an associate's degree in nursing from Sandhills Community College and a bachelor's degree from University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She also has certification in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.

In addition to nursing, Harbour has worked with her husband, David, managing their laundry business, Harbour Laundry, while advancing her nursing career.

"I want to be known for being the best at what we do," Harbour said. "We have the finest, most dedicated surgeons and the cream-of-the-crop anesthesiologists. Our nursing staff is a compassionate, caring, experienced group providing excellent care to their patients."

The Surgery Center of Pinehurst is a licensed and certified ambulatory surgery center. Recently, the center was honored by Today's Surgicenter Magazine as one of the "Who's Who" facilities in the country.

"Tracey adds a new dimension to the management team with her education, experience and commitment to excellence," said center administrator Mike Lipomi.
