No Anonymity for Me

No Anonymity for Me

On Dec. 18 I received an anonymous letter from someone who believes I should be denied my right of free speech and the right to express my opinions in the public arena.

The writer chose to enlighten me as to why I reached the opinions I hold and as to the state of my mental health because my opinions are different.

What we have, it appears, is a clairvoyant, wannabe psychologist who wasn't listening in civics classes.

If mine is the only voice of dissent in this wonderful republic we call the United States of America, it has been given the right to be heard, and I stand tall as I express those opinions.

More important, I do not hide behind the coward's hood of anonymity but publicly identify myself with my name, unafraid to challenge decisions being made by elected, not anointed government officials. Sweet tea is my drink of choice, not Kool-Aid.
