Sick, sick, sick.
Those are the only three words we can think of to describe the latest despicable outrage that the government of Iran is now attempting to perpetrate.
It's not enough that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad saw fit to lighten up a speech early in his term by declaring that Israel should we wiped off the map -- and then followed up with an announcement that Iran wanted to acquire nuclear weapons, perhaps with the hope of making that task easier.
Now the president has gathered a group of 67 world "experts" -- really discredited scholars, white suprem-acists, antisemites, and other crackpots -- to "debate" whether or not the Holocaust that saw the extermination of six million Jews really happened at all.
As to what kind of conclusion this convocation of kooks is expected to come up with, we may find a hint in the Iranian president's previous assertions that the Holocaust was a "myth" used to justify the creation of Israel. Last summer, Iran sponsored a contest for cartoons about the Holocaust, which is apparently considered quite a funny topic in Tehran.
Something about this contemptible little exercise in hate and lies turns the stomach. Once these 'impartial' experts have come up with their finding, we urge them to stay in Iran indefinitely and look into UFOs, the Loch Ness monster, and events on the grassy knoll.
