Moore County Sheriff's deputies arrested a convicted sex offender Thursday for failure to notify officials that he had moved.
Officers charged Timothy Edward Gordon, 44, with one count of felony failure to change address as a sexual offender.
Gordon was registered with the Moore County sheriff's to be residing at 102 Hall Lane in Bennett.
Officers issued a warrant for his arrest June 15 after discovering that he had moved. His current residence is listed as 2401 Edwards Hill Church Road in Siler City.
According to N.C. law, sex offenders must notify law enforcement agencies within 10 days of any change in address.
Gordon received a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 7.
