WEB: Three Arrested on Meth/Cocaine Charges

The arrests were the result of a one-month undercover drug operation conducted by the office's narcotics unit.

Officers arrested Candie Lynn Blue and Nereo Rodriguez Hernandez near Southern Pines and seized approximately 84 grams of crystal metamphetamine "ice."

The investigation continued to the suspect's residence, at 302 Tracey Lane in the Harnett County portion of Cameron.

Officers searched the residence with Harnett County Sheriff's deputies, locating and seizing approximately 225 grams of crystal methamphetamine "ice," 2 grams of powder cocaine, and digital scales.

Harnett County deputies arrested Jose Abelino Avila Nava, who also resided at 302 Tracey Lane for trafficking methamphetamine.

As part of the same investigation, a search warrant was executed Wednesday by the Moore County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team at the residence of David Cagle, at 159 Heron Road near Carthage.

Officers located a small amount of marijuana and one firearm at the residence. Cagle was arrested on multiple cocaine trafficking charges as a result of the undercover investigation.

During the investigation a total of approximately 117 grams of powder cocaine, 309 grams of crystal methamphetamine "ice," one gram of marijuana, one firearm and a 1998 Ford F-150 truck were seized.

Estimated street value of the drugs seized is $40,260.

Hernandez was charged with four counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, eight counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, sell methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine and three counts of conspiracy to sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance.

Hernandez was placed in the Moore County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond.

Blue was charged with four counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, four counts of conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, six counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, two counts of sell/deliver cocaine and felony possession of methamphetamine.

She was placed in the Moore County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond.

Cagle was charged with six counts of trafficking cocaine, nine counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, three counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, three counts of felony possession of cocaine, sell or deliver cocaine, maintaining a place to keep controlled substance, possession of firearm by convicted felon, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cagle was placed in the Moore County Jail under a $260,000.00 secured bond.
