The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel in Laurinburg, with the Rev. Harry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Wallace, S.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 4, at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Margaret Snipes.
Mrs. Harrell was born March 26, 1909, in Marlboro County, S.C., daughter of the late Henry F. and Florence S. Tyner and the wife of the late H.C. Harrell. She was a textile retiree from Springs Mills and a member of the Family Worship Center.
"Mrs. Harrell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister," said a family member.
Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam, Luther, John, Willie and Bo Tyner; and a sister, Lila Gainey.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her sons, Prentiss D. Harrell of Laurel Hill and Creighton W. Harrell of Charlotte; her daughters, Jettie Turner of West Virginia, Margaret Snipes and Maudie Roberts, both of Laurinburg, and Pat Dees of Pinebluff; a brother, David Tyner of Laurel Hill; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
