I wasn't implying that the photo was made illegally. Congratulations to Mr. Chappell for being able to take this photo. My feeling is that the entire trial should be photographed, televised or recorded so that the average person, who cannot attend the trial, can see firsthand what is going on. As it stands now, we can see Linday Lohan or other "celebrities" in court all the time, but the average trial is off limits to cameras.

On June 1 WRAL reported: "Judge James Webb signed an order prohibiting electronic media and still photography in any courtroom, hallway or lobby at any stage of the trial of Robert Kenneth Stewart."

If so, how was this photo able to be made?

From my experience, when you dig a crape myrtle you will end up with dozens of sprouts coming up the next year from the severed roots. Who will go back and remove the thousands of sprouts? You can't kill a crape myrtle. Not very easily, anyway.

The Biscoe construction is part of a larger project to four lane Highway 24 from Charlotte to Fayetteville. It's already finished from Charlotte to Albemarle and from east of Troy to Biscoe.

Thanks goes to these firefighters and the departments that make it possible for them to go help our neighbors in Bladen County. I'm praying for them to stay safe while helping to battle this huge fire.

Arestorer, the problem is that once you run for office, and especially if you are elected, the system turns you into a politician, like it or not.

I saw a humble qualified man that ran for congress turn in to a money-hungry politician who didn't care about the people that he hired to work for him. He didn't pay promised wages and income taxes and only started doing so on his second run when he was called out by his opponent.

In short - if you run, you're a politician. The system must be changed, but the ones that will have to do it are in charge and there's no hope for change.

This is a nice story. It's a good thing that local, natural foods are becoming more commonplace in this area.

Montgomery County has plenty of water that already is available at the site.

The Constitution does not state that the parents have to be citizens of the US.

It reads: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
