Things have gone from bad to worse. I have never seen this country as polarized as it is now. Of course there are fringe elements in every group, but to call a movement racist is inflammatory & irresponsible. Is it possible that they may disagree with the administration's fiscal policies? There are disgraceful figures on both sides of the aisle. There have been presidential advisors and mentors who are overtly & unapologetically racist. My point is simply this: we cannot afford to feed the ugly face of racism when there are more pressing issues at hand such as our economy, etc. They are protesting loose fiscal policy which has contributed to debt, unemployment, etc.
I think "tea folks" are saying exactly that-our leaders need to get to work on "diminishing the influence of politics on taxation and government spending". Yep.
Exactly. We do have the right to peacefully assemble and protest when we believe we are not being represented. There are always going to be nut jobs in every group. Most reasonable people know that these nut jobs do not define the whole group. I applaud these patriots for exercising their rights. We patriots are dissatisfied and disappointed with the career politicians in Washington who are out of touch with their constituents. They are more interested in lining their pockets, re-election, power & favors than in being fair & honest Statesmen/Stateswomen who have principles-leaders who believe in American values. There are plenty of hard-working people who have been productive members of society who gladly pay taxes for certain government services. What we don't like is when our government is recklessly irresponsible & wants to fundamentally change our country by turning it into an unrecognizable wasteland.
PM--"a divide and conquer strategy"-so true, so true. Like I said before, I have never seen our country so polarized. This country is being dismantled before our eyes.

No Solutions in Sight
Here's a solution: get rid of bureaucrats who are incapable of efficiency. We need fiscally responsible leaders.

Yes, the socialist leaning bureaucrats are the problem.

So, are you saying that you don't think it is important to let your fellow citizens be heard? That is not very "fair & balanced".
