@mooremedic: These people would be idiots whether or not drugs are legalized (proof in the article). Legalization would allow people including the sick and dying to use drugs other than those manufactured by pharmaceutical companies which are just as dangerous as meth in some cases. People overdose and die on medications that you as a medic have probably administered. NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND has died from an overdose of marijuana. At least with legalization, we can card people to keep drugs out of minor's hands as much as possible. Currently, with prohibition, minors are used to sell the drugs many times. Pharmacies card customers, bars card customers, cigarette retailers card customers but dealers don't card. A national survey cited that a majority of high school students in the United States feel it is easier for them to get marijuana than it is to get alcohol. Once again, dealers don't card. So get off your mighty horse. The government has the right to protect the citizens from one another, but they don't have the right to tell me how to treat/use/abuse my body. This is my body & as long as what I do as an adult in the privacy of my home is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS nor anyone else's. I have an incurible disease and marijuana does help. But thanks to backward thinking, I'm a criminal if I were to choose a relatively safe plant over Vicodin and about eight other drugs I've been prescribed. So if you want to know more, go look at the web page by LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition) www.leap.com Become informed, not just opinionated. Re-Legalize

So can we waste water to rinse out our recycling cans? Gee, which green should we follow? Recycling uses a lot of water in my household.

Can't wait until Ben & crew open up their new restaurant. The food was awesome (especially the Eggs Benedict & Patty Melt) and the service was friendly. I will miss my cafe, but look forward to the next opening. Good luck in finding a great location! I hope it's nearby.

Seems like the prescription drugs are a big problem. This includes those who are taking them legally with medical supervision. I've yet to hear of a SINGLE person who has overdosed on marijuana.

"I smell fear - raw, visceral, abject fear." Prometheus, I lol'd, LMAO and ROFL when I read that. That you for allowing me to smile while reading everything.

I love the name-calling some people here do to refer to the Tea Party (you know, the people who want smaller government, less spending and taxing and want the Constitution followed) and Conservatives in general. I remember how effective that tactic was when I was in the third grade. The bullies would use it. But, as time went on we all grew up and the bullies became irrelevant. True story. It appears history repeats itself. I can't wait until the bullies get the crap kicked out of them***

***Not physically - I would hate to see what someone might say about me trying to threaten violence. Threats of violence normally only take place with liberal extremists at voting locations, by union thugs or inside abortion clinics.

Name-calling and slander. Typical liberal responses nationwide. Conservatives are liars, extremists, and nut cases when they cite facts. Most of us are extremists because we desire a smaller government that serves us.

If the mainstream media would do their JOB and RESPONSIBILITY of reporting the news, instead of (admittedly) trying to shape or influence public policy, this entire country would be better served. The mainstream media is a shrill voice, usually supporting one party over another. This is wrong. They privately can support one side more than the other (it's normal since they're human) but they must be objective in REPORTING the news. Not creating it. Not shaping it. Not skewing it. Not hiding some of it. Not creating mountains out of molehills. In my opinion, the mainstream media do us all a great disservice with what they constantly do on a daily basis. They are hurting America. They are hurting our politics. They are hurting me and they are hurting you, no matter what your political leanings are. Shame on the mainstream media and shame on us for allowing it to get like this. The politicians have a lot on their plate for which they're responsible and they've done a poor job of handling it. If we had an actual media that reported instead of crafted their news reports, our politicians would probably work for us instead of us fearing them. Thanks media!! You've hurt this country far more than most people you gossip about.

Corporations are people. Corporations don't hire people. People make up corporations. Some of those people are rich. Since when does being rich make a person bad?
