While I appreciate the increased reliabilty; there is nothing beautiful about the work. May street now looks awful thanks to the lack of consideration of aesthetics and conservation.

Mooremedic I can guarantee it still wouldve been published if it was a girl. the Pilot has a history of identifying minor victims. I thought they would've learned their lesson by now. I guess they just don't care about these kids, just what sells papers.

Not a teacher who has dealt with former students...a parent of former students of STARS. Best of luck, hope things turn around.

Hopefully this new board will help address some of the long standing issues at STARS, including the poor academics and lackadaisical attitude toward testing and discipline. The teachers are superb at cultivating a positive, creative learning environment with emphasis on the arts. However, the end result is lacking. These children are often times not prepared for the next level of education.

I might be more apt to pay the inflated prices if the popcorn wasnt stale, they didnt charge an insane price for things like an extra cup or bag, the air conditioners worked, run down restrooms were repaired and it was clean. Its sad that they bring in so much money but cant give people value for their dollar.

Glad to see the Pilot is finally protecting victims and minors, it's a refreshing change and long overdue...no sarcasm.

Wow! So glad the council can find money for resurfacing the tennis courts, beautification projects and a field groomer while our hard working town employees are informed they will be cutting any type of raises for the next year and decreasing their benefits. Looks like the town council has their priorities in order. Im sure the tennis courts and ahead-of-schedule pretty sidewalks are more important to the police, fire and other town employees than their health benefits. Way to show your appreciation Southern Pines.

I couldnt agree more momof1! Im sure there are some good people at Moore County DSS but I have not been fortunate enough to encounter them. I am aware of numerous reports that were made about abuse and the whole process was a joke, the sad part is its the kids that are ones who pay the price.
