Holy Church of N.C. Barbecue Divided
Well, I see my good friend, Jim Nance, has given you the low down on Lexington Q so I won't belabor the point except to say until you've tried a tray of "outside brown course chopped" Lexington Q straight out of the smoker you've haven't lived. Since, as you know, I was born and raised in G'boro and went off to East Carolina I've had my share of both types of NC Q, but for my money there is no comparison. Lexington style is the best. Period. There was a reason I came to Lexington to start my law career and it had nothing to do with the fine firm I'm with. Lexington had me at "you want that Q sliced, chopped, lean, brown or coarse chopped, rolls or hushpuppies?" Hope to see you soon.
