Go ahead repeal GW Bush tax "cuts"..it would be great for America. GW Bush's tax cuts as the left likes to call them saved $88 billion for the upper brackets...but it saved $174 billion for the middle and lower brackets...those "cuts" also took out one whole tax bracket and took the taxex on millions to zero. Don't hear you lefties talking much about those components of the tax rates that Bush deployed. Let's get em back and get some real balance in the tax schedules and get the portion of the 47% who are not paying any taxes to anti up...that's balance.

Remember...Mr. Heim has an agenda. You cannot be right...even if you are...be careful you may be classified as a terrorist.

Jim Heim

It matters not what other nations have in their laws. In case you might not have noticed you are in the United States and governed by our laws. I know that you and the Progressives believe that the Constituion as a document is not very useful, but it is the supreme law of the land, and is unique among constitutions thru-out the world.. Perhaps you would like to incorporate sharia law in the US...now there's a good idea...apparently it allows us to kill one another without fear...think what it would do for the economy..the sale of vests would soar.

It is also apparent that the Dems would prefer an imperial system...the imperial president obama..nice ring to it...Sir Harry reid...Sister Nancy...etc. You could then present any legislation you like and shove it down the throats of the US citizen like you are attempting to do right now.

Fillibuster...an integral part of the system implemented to do just exactly what it does...prevent a political party from riding rough shod over the system.

I'm afraid that I don't believe Mr. Heim. Do you think that the head of the Moore County Dems is unbiased about the fillibuster...huh. All my Progressive friends only think one way...how to win...America second Dems first. If I asked Mr. Heim what time it was and he told me...I'd get a second opinion.

JIm...it seems to me that the fillibuster provides a stop gap to an imperial presidency...regardless of party...and assures the rights of the minority. By example..Obama wins with less than a 2% majority...where are those who voted against him represented if not in the halls of congress without the threat of of fillibuster to access ultimate collaboration. The party in power attempting to re-write rules to suit them smacks of a huge troping on the constitution and the obligation of the majority to collaborate. Of course in todays politic that seems to bimpossible.

Dear Jim...did you support the end of the fillibuster when the Republicans controlled the house and senate...I presume that your neutrality in this matter indicates that you are in fact unbiased...huh?
