What was this about?? I certainly cannot tell by the kindergarten rantings and name calling. Oh, yeah, the work the police do. They do put their lives on the line everyday. When they approach a vehicle (especially those with very tinted windows), they have no idea what the individual in the vehicle is going to do when they approach. Certainly they should be commended for the job they do everyday and the dangers they may encounter in protecting the public.
Skylinefirepest, they know who they should be censoring, but they choose not to do so. The name calling he does is insulting to anyone coming onto this blog. Oh, that's right, we should just get off and stay off if we don't wish to be insulted and called name because this is HIS place!!
You're right, skylinefirepest. What job?? He has spent almost all of the last year flying around the country telling everyone how "he" did this and "he" did that instead of doing the job he was elected to do. Both he and his wife are flying everywhere and appearing on as many TV shows as possible to claim how wonderful he has taken care of this country and guess who is paying for it all? We, the taxpayers. All the security people, Air Force One and all the others involved in their many travels. The only reason they are so anxious to remain in the White House is ego. Always has been from the start and will be until he is out. I also do not begrudge someone that has succeeded in a legal line of work and has invested well. Any one of us would do the same thing if we were in that situation. If we didn't, we'd be pretty stupid.
It is called doing business, Sean. That's the way it is in big business. You think Romney holds the monopoly on doing things to enhance business. Look at all the companies in this nation that moved all their production to other countries at a massive loss of jobs for Americans. The only difference here is that it is customary to tear down and apart anyone running for public office. They may do things as many others have done, but because they are running for office, all they do is condemn. If you were in his place, would you have done differently?
I see the flamer and bully is back in full force. Too bad good discussions cannot occur on these blogs because of the flaming and name calling. Also, it must be nice to think you are right all the time and if someone doesn't agree, then the name calling commences or they are told they ought to just stay off the site. Who died and made you King Pilot? You know who I'm talking to!!
Who cares what is on Romney's last ten tax returns? What I find amusing is that people want to condemn someone who has invested wisely and made money for himself and his family. So what? There isn't a person that wouldn't do the same thing if they were able. We all try to find ways to invest our money to secure our futures. How many presidents have we had that were not rich?? You want to be President, than you better be rich or you can't afford to run. If he had done something illegal with his tax returns, he would have been called on it by now. How much money a person makes and how they invest it really has nothing to do whether he can effectively govern.
So you are saying that if a person commits a crime (robbery, assault) then the police (a government agency) should not do whatever is necessary to arrest the perpetrator? Certainly that action would be considered "aggressive" by your standards. If we are attacked (9/11), then we should do nothing to protect ourselves because that would be considered an aggressive action by our government? I don't understand why you consider immigration laws as aggression.
All I can say is that the world you are imagining is not reality. It would be great if everyone did the right thing and was nonviolent and moral. Unfortunately, the world is not that way. All the aggression and wars exemplifies that. Man must have laws to keep from total chaos. If there are laws, then they must be enforced. You may not agree with them, but without them, we will certainly self-destruct.
A.S., what is your definition of immoral? There are many things done today in this country that would be considered immoral. Certainly having laws to govern and control who comes into our country to live is certainly not what I would consider immoral. I don't understand your use of immoral?
